Vision

Last night, I was asked,

"How do I manage to write these posts almost everyday".

My response is this.

Among many other things,

I am a writer and an author.

According to the back covers of my books,

I am also a visionary.

And what I see,

In this administration of words and fear,

in this Orwellian word climate,

in this corporate cultural hegemony,

in this smoke screen of values,

are all of the ingredients for a leavening

of the human condition.

I see the so called progressive bloggersphere,

totally lost in the head feints

of the right's wrongs.

I see the Democratic leaders

unable to find their focus,

or their voice.

The ones who tell the truth,

must do so from another continent.

Listen to Sidney Blumenthal, former senior adviser to President Clinton and author of The Clinton Wars:

Vice president Cheney fantasises about an Israeli air strike on Iranian nuclear facilities. Seymour Hersh of the New Yorker reports that there are clandestine, special operations teams inside Iran trying to identify facilities that might be targets of US bombing.

Two Republican senators, Rick Santorum and John Cornyn, have introduced a bill that would authorise the funding of Iranian exile groups and stipulate "regime change" as official US policy. Yet the US is overstretched militarily, and it cannot be conclusively known that all Iranian nuclear facilities would be eliminated by an Osirak-like strike.

If attacked, Iran could create untold mischief within Iraq. But the dream world of ideology trumps the national interest. Thus, toward the Europeans' greatest diplomatic initiative, on the country whose fate is most closely linked with Iraq, Bush's policy, on the eve of his trip to Europe, is a vacuum.

Blinding bursts of triumphalism are characteristic of a march of folly, and they quicken its pace.

True, just as paranoids have real enemies, the euphoric can experience a high from genuine events. But the insistence on euphoria, as those who grapple with reality know, is symptomatic of a disorder that can dangerously swing in mood.

I write each night,

because when I finish,

I will be able to sleep.

As the prayer goes.

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

Reinhold Niebuhr (American theologian, 1892-1971)

Neibuhr also said this:

"Nothing worth doing is completed in our lifetime; therefore we must be saved by hope. Nothing true or beautiful makes complete sense in any immediate context of history; therefore we must be saved by faith. Nothing we do, however virtuous, can be accomplished alone; therefore, we are saved by love."

Earthfamilyalpha is for Earthians.

My vision sees a time,

when we will all see ourselves,

as humans on a very beautiful blue marble

in the vastness of space and time.

I see a time,

When we will understand these words:

Man has built in himself images as a fence of security - religious, political, personal. These manifest as symbols, ideas, beliefs. The burden of these images dominates man’s thinking, his relationships, and his daily life. These images are the causes of our problems for they divide man from man.

And like a child who has grown,

we will put these images,

our symbols, ideas, and beliefs,

down.

And we will arise.

To a new understanding.

When taking earhfamilyalpha to the next level, when breathing life into any community, I think it important "we" consider language, process and methodology. This is not a matter of us and themm because in the long run, the ideas we discuss and the elements we create are for everyone.

So many left-leaning and otherwise liberal blogs/sites are reactionary. In my opinion, this largely confuses the focus and resigns "us" to spending half "our" time hunting red herrings, rather than promoting thoughts and ideas that are altogether not covered by popular media, visible leaders, etc. Literally hundreds of thousands of people work as pundits, and need no assistance in fighting foot soldiers, though they are a necessary component of the battle as "we" rush past in reaching the grail. The swordplay behind us is old-hat and tired, the grail is the motivator. Let us write of the grail.

Half of the language on this blog also justifies language anti-thetical to [what I see as] the point of this blog. It is the age-old ontological argument. Dead ideas live again, not unlike Lazarus, if and only if you speak of them. Why? Creators create faster than destroyers destroy. There are bad people in this world: they maintain a pretense that prohibits innovation because they were born into systems, monopolies and mores that they learned to defend and promote, regardless of consequence. Big fucking deal. They are the flies of Summer.

Keep people guessing. After my stint in both beltway politics and screenwriting, the less one knows of your political affiliation, the more and the longer they're likely to listen. And frankly, the future well-being of children, our ideas, and the ideas of our children's children is not a question of left or right...it is a question of do or do not. Those siding and coupling with the "do not" category will choose in not choosing and need no help in disqualifying their position; whereas, those siding and coupling with the "do" category need to steadfastly keep their eyes on the prize, rather than focusing on mypoic detractors. In not recognizing this basic tenent, one apologizes their day away.

This is the true, undeniable nature and spirit of innovation. This is visionary.

If half the words move this agenda forward I would be very pleased. Thanks again SG for your comments.

this so called "burden" is what makes man man. it distinquished us.

these "images" are us. What would replace it?

and what would we become?

I said, I see a time,

When we will understand these words:

Man has built in himself images as a fence of security -religious, political, personal... These images are, as you say, "what we are". But we are violent, and competitive, and fragmented in our approaches with ourselves and each other.

The time may not be now, or tomorrow.

Maybe not even next Tuesday.

But sooner than most of us imagine.

And what would we become?

We would become more evolved.

And we would be free.

Free from the known.
