Sometimes it seems that we are truly stupid.

How many times do we allow the double speak to go on?

How many times do we believe the dribble that oozes from

the open orifices of

our media and our leaders?

I watched the News Hour the other night,

and it was the all terror, no news hour.

It was terrorful.

We have real problems in our real world that need to be addressed.

There are the issues of injustice and oppression.

And there are the global forcing issues of

Climate Change, Peak Oil, and the Concentration of Wealth and Power.

Responses to these real problems

manifest as unhappy peoples

willing to strap bombs on their belts.

They will manifest as huge droves of unhappy peoples

willing to do what they must,

to feed their families, and provide them a decent life.

Trying to curb the responses,

without solving the problems that create them,

Is like trying to cure obesity,

without dealing with your eating habits or your life style.

You can carve and suck the fat off,

but you will not be thin.

You won't even be thinner.
