Scare Mask

*
The world scale
Nazification of America

is a costume ball,
in an elegant hotel
glittering with The Elite.

Suits, gowns, line up at a buffet --
shrimp, oysters, caviar, brie, asparagus,
prime rib, salmon, croissants, bread dipped in
tar, rainbows on black oil skimming
over salt water, dried human ankle
bones from The Sudan.

Under glass --
one each of 300 endangered species,
sauteed, poached, roasted in a paper bag,
vegetable sculptures of classic cars
arranged around an ice rendition
of Barbara Bush, mouth stuffed
with black red roses, laughing.

The world scale
Nazification of America
is a costume ball,
The Elite vying for the best mask,
carved ivory with the beast
still writhing,
dripping red horn, snake skin,
frog eyes, sparrow feathers,
finch feet, the most elegant embroidery
imaginable, punctuated with child fingers,
the salt tears of women in sweat shops,
the door prize --
trafficked human beings,
naked and smothered
on a feather bed
in a hotel with diamond studded
elevators --
always on the rise.

"When will it stop?"
a small voice asks -- your grandchild,
someone who forgot to watch television,
the last free mind --
"When will it be over?"

The world scale
Nazification of American will
be complete when multinational
corporate flow charts envelop
the media, schools, courts,
legislatures, transportation networks,
infrastructure, natural resources,
ports --

Should it occur, for instance,
that the US Congress pass a law, say,
forbidding foreign ownership of
American ports by a business
owned by a country known to harbor
the exact same foreign terrorists
who carried out 911
with money laundered in that same
country --

Should it occur
that Congress pass a law to forbid that
and should that law
be "too late!"

Should an international deal
trump a national law --

On that day
the world scale
Nazification of America
will be complete.

The seamless unification of the
corporation and the government
will have occurred world scale.

It won't matter that the president
of one particular country or another
has the lowest approval rating in history.

Fascism will have gone global,
a great costume ball.

You won't see anything
but the scare mask.

It is good to hear Susan's clear strong precise voice at a time when the wilderness is indeed getting more dense. Thanks.

I listened to the cartoon music from Warner Brothers Cartoons and Susan is way to sinister. t may be true but I think tha tbefore we fall there will be a rebellion. Bug and Taz will win out.
